A Matter of Taste

SAVE THE DATE: April 11 - June 12 (Artists' Reception is Saturday April 11, 6-10:00 pm)
Have you noticed how popular its become to share food pics on social media? I've fallen in love with sweets all over again and will be sharing my confections in clay at this upcoming show at Galeria Gitana. You can have the real thing and I guarantee its sugar-free!  Galeria Gitana website

Call of the Tile

Occasionally I land a fun job on the custommade.com website. Its amazing how many people want artists to literally copy another person's work and I don't bid on those jobs! My gargoyal tiles will look a little mischievious, but not too scary, on this fireplace surround in Pennysylvannia where a couple has a Gothic-themed living room.

I'm thinking of making some new editions of my Feline Skin 8" x 8" tile. I recently gave one as a gift and it looks nice in a wooden easle. The pattern on these tiles is "seemless" (done in Illustrator and Photoshop originally) so if a field of them is set on a wall the design flows nicely.

What's Happening in my Graphic Design World

My next big (and I mean really big) project will be to redesign my legacy ceramics website, ellenrundle.com.
I made this site about 12 years ago and have not applied my new knowledge of CSS (cascading style sheets) to the table-formatted HTML pages. I'm just starting to understand how mobile web design is so vital, so as I approach that re-launch it will be with the mobile user in mind. Want to see some of my really old website designs just for a good laugh? Check out my portfolio site at erundledesign.com
